Driver Safety for the Super Truck Nationals.
DCRP insurance requires that all drivers must have a neckroll, or head and neck restraint to get on the race track. Acceptable items are a simple SFI Neckroll, Hutchens Device, Hans Device, or D-Cell. You must have one of these to race or practice.
You will be required to have a minimum of a single layer fire suit, racing gloves, Snell 95 helmet, fire shoes, and window net.
Radios and spotters are recommended for all truck teams. Teams without radios are required to display a 12 inch duct tape 'X' on the left rear tail gate of the race truck.
DCRP starting and restarting race procedures include the following rule:
For Starts and Restarts, You may not pass on the inside until you reach the middle of turn 1 and 2. This rule is in place based on a history of cars piling up in turn 1 and causing crashes. Passing on the outside is okay once the green flag is thrown. Violators of this rule may be penalized one position for each car passed at the end of the race, or the next caution, whichever comes first.
White Line Rule - Dropping any tires below the white line to pass is not acceptable at DCRP. Violators of this rule may be penalized one position for each car passed at the end of the race, or the next caution, whichever comes first.
