The first race promoted by the United States Super Truck series was the 2002 DCRP Super Truck Nationals. Twenty-six trucks from 4 different states started what would prove to be a very exciting feature. Billy Harkins from Colorado proved himself the champion after holding off four challengers as they diced though traffic nose to tail. Billy's Chevrolet built to CNS was pressures constantly by USST's Mike Hathaway who finished second. The race was run with on Goodyear D1132 tires. CNS trucks weighed in at 2900 lbs with 58% max left percentage and 390 cfm carbs. USST trucks were heavier at 3200 pounds and 600 cfm carbs. Special thanks to the NASCAR tech officials from Colorado who oversaw the technical inspections. |
