World Cup Super Truck Weekend Rain Laden
Odessa, MO - The Black #77 Dodge Super Truck of Steve Barber prevailed easily in last weekends rain laden World Cup Truck race at I-70 Speedway. The Odessa Missouri 1/2 mile track was plagued with 18 hours of rain before the race that cancelled Thursday practice and shortened the Friday Race day. Out of town teams from as far North as Minnesota and South as Texas were unable to get much needed practice laps putting them at a severe disadvantage in the show dominated by local trucks.
The 100 lap feature showed dominance by trucks that won features over the I-70 2004 season.
The top five trucks were Steve Barber, Dan Schmidt, USST points leader Austin Siebert, Brandon Jordon and Keith Cobb Jr.
The World Cup was the Barber's first race after an I-70 crash earlier in 2004
that destroyed his truck and reqired pins to be put in his ankle.
